What we'll do for you
Duelity HUG is the Duelity Intelligence programme for founders at the start: with an idea, an MVP or a first product. We work with you in these four areas.
The company
We help you set up the company: choosing the legal form, registration, bank account, registered address, transferring your IP to the new company, accounting and the legal setup. Also if you currently trade as a sole trader.
Your mentor:

Why promising ideas don't get funded
Most startups don't lose at the pitch. They lose at the preparation. A round is usually stopped by one of six things.
- The pitch isn't ready. A deck that explains the product beautifully and never answers the only question asked in the room: why this team, and why now.
- The data is a mess. The numbers live in many spreadsheets and one founder's head.
- No clear business model. You can show growth, but you can't explain why it will repeat next quarter.
- The IP isn't sorted. What you're selling isn't demonstrably yours.
- Financial projections nobody believes. One follow-up question and the model falls apart.
- Not knowing what investors actually want. The most common reason, and the easiest to fix.
Which of the six is yours? The check takes four clicks.

How to start
Three ways to work with us
These aren't consecutive steps. They're three different ways of working with us.
The Duelity HUG programme
The programme: an advisory package with our experts, free training, promotion and access to capital through our investor network.
Best ifYou need the full programme.
Fixed-scope advisory package
One defined problem, one expert who handles it, and an agreed scope: a financial model that doesn't hold up, your IP position, contracts. No commitment beyond that scope.
Best ifYou already know what you need and from whom.
Working with you up to the round
We prepare you, stay with you through the process and introduce you to the investor ourselves. We agree terms with you in writing before any work starts.
Best ifYou're going for a round and want us to run the process with you.
How do you get paid?
When you close your round: as a transaction fee. Consultations you order separately from a specific expert, hourly or as a fixed-scope package, are paid for the work itself, at a discount within Duelity HUG. We agree terms with you in writing before any work starts.
What do I actually come out with?
A professional pitch deck and teaser, the materials investors ask for first. A realistic financial model for the coming years. An orderly ownership structure. IP protection and the key contracts. And a strategy for approaching investors: who, when and how.
We're too early for this. Is it still worth talking?
Probably yes, and probably briefly. Two mistakes are the most expensive at the MVP stage: a founder equity split agreed on a handshake, and IP whose ownership can't be shown. Both are almost free to fix now and painful at seed. The same goes for a badly structured ESOP or copyright that was never transferred. Take the readiness check above. If it says you're fine, you're fine.
How much of my time does this take as a founder?
Usually 4–8 hours a month for meetings, plus time to prepare materials. We do most of the work (financial model, pitch deck, document review) so the founder can focus on the product and first customers.
